About the Network

WHAT IS HATFIELD-McCOY TRAILS?

The Hatfield-McCoy Trails (HMT) is one of the premier off-road trail systems in the United States, located in the rich mountains of southern West Virginia. Named after the legendary Hatfield and McCoy families whose famous feud played out in these very hills, the trail system spans across multiple counties and connects dozens of communities throughout the region.

With over 1,200 miles of professionally managed trails across 13 distinct trail systems, HMT offers everything from smooth, beginner-friendly fire roads to extreme technical terrain that will challenge even the most experienced riders. The trails are open to ATVs, UTVs/side-by-sides, dirt bikes, and ORVs/Jeeps — making it a destination for all types of off-road enthusiasts.

Bluewell ATV is strategically located just minutes from two of the most popular trail systems in the entire network — the Pocahontas Trail System and the Indian Ridge Trail System — giving our customers immediate access to hundreds of miles of trails without the need to trailer.
